Too often, families are left to navigate the school system and find the right supports alone — unsure of what to ask for, what their options are, or what their child actually needs.
Evergrow can help.

I understand what it feels like to advocate for a child you love, to hold worries that no one else can see, and to want nothing more than to do the right thing.
Cheryl MacKinnon is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education, and nearly two decades of experience working with children with learning differences. Her career has been spent leading Learning Support departments in top independent schools, supporting children and their families through every stage of the school journey.
Over those years, Cheryl has worked with children across a wide range of profiles, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism, with a particular focus on autistic girls, as well as language disorders, sensory processing differences, hearing differences, and medical needs.
Cheryl brings more than professional expertise to this work. Her personal journey as a parent has given her firsthand experience navigating the public school system and the IEP process. She understands what it feels like to advocate for a child you love, to hold worries that no one else can see, and to want nothing more than to do the right thing. That perspective shapes the way she partners with every family.
Every child is unique. Every family is too. Cheryl's guidance is shaped by your situation, your school, and what matters most to you — delivered with honesty, care, and deep respect for the journey your family is on. You will leave each conversation more informed, more confident, and clearer about your next step.
